Spring Knowledge Master Open
Hanover edged Mt. Mansfield by four points for the top local score, highlighting another strong Vermont showing in the Spring Knowledge Master Open in April of 2009.
Four Vermont teams placed in the top 85 out of 652 participating schools from around the world. Hanover correctly annswered 194 of the 200 multiple-choice questions to lead the way with 1693 of a possible points, good enough for 21th overall. Mt. Mansfield was one place behind with 1689 points on 190 correct answers.
Champlain Valley was 41st overall with 1628 points while Essex was a solid 85th with 1557 points.
Charter High School of Raleigh, N.C, scored 1827 for the top overall score.
