Fall Knowledge Master Open
Hanover snapped Burlington's string of dominance as six Vermont-NEA Scholars' Bowl teams competed in the Fall Knowledge Master Open was held on December 5, 2001.
Hanover (N.H.) correctly answered 192 of the 200 multiple-choce questions and finished with 1641 of a possible 200 points on the computerized test. The Marauders ranked 42nd out of 1007 participating schools world-wide and unseated Burlington, which had posted the Vermont Scholars' Bowl's top score in the previous eight KMOs.
Champlain Valley topped the official Vermont schools with a 94th-place finish and 1549 and Burlington was right behind with 1535 points (113th-place). Other participating Vermont teams Thetford (1359 points). Montpelier (1267) and Harwood (1061).
Thomas Jeffereson High School for Science and Technology of Alexandria, Virginia was the overall champion with an astounding 1832 points.
